Mr. Mohan Savarkar joined Tata Motors in October 1994. With over three decades of rich experience, Mr. Savarkar has in the past, worked in Aircraft, Tooling, and Automobile industries with companies such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Profiloforms Engineering and Tooling Company PVT LTD.

Responsible for successful products like Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, Altroz, Punch, Harrier, and Safari.

His extensive experience involves working in diverse functions across Strategy, Lean Manufacturing, Financial Planning, Product Management. Currently, in his role at Tata Motors, he heads the product lines for the ICE portfolio of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles. He is also a nominee director representing Tata Motors on the board of FIAPL, a 50:50 joint venture with Stellantis.

Mr. Savarkar holds a master’s degree in Aircraft Production Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. He is also qualified for Independent Director Database, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (under the aegis of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India). Fellow of the Institute of Engineers in India and Associate Member of the Aeronautical Society of India.  Alum of Bringing Technology to Market course at ESMT, Berlin.
