Vice President - Product Engineering Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India

Presently, Vice President – Product Engineering responsible for Digital Engg, Vehicle Performance, Test Engg & Technical Affairs in Renault Nissan Technical Centre India. Prior to that, He served as Senior Management Delegate in Renault Joint Venture company in China from 2019 to 2021 while he was responsible for Product Development and Engineering Quality for Renault China Market and Export markets in South Americas, Middle east and African countries including new EV development

Carrying over 26 Years of Professional Experience in the field of Research & Development in Auto Industries in 2 wheelers, Passenger Cars, LCV’s and Off-road vehicles including 15 years in Renault Nissan Group. His key contribution includes successful indianisation of Renault Duster and several other products adapted from Europe to India, development of global new small car platform and growth of Digital Engineering Centre.

During 2006-08, He was part of NATRIP, in New Delhi, one of the biggest Automotive projects under Govt to set up R&D and test facilities in India, handling Technical Project Management for new 7 R&D & Test Centres. Also, headed a research Project on Road Safety. His previous experience includes TVS Group and TAFE R&D Centre. First time in India, Applied indigenized FEA structural analysis S/W FEAST-C developed by ISRO for Automotive brake composite simulation to solve complex Brake Liner thermic problems (1997-98)

Graduate of the Madras Institute of Technology, Anna university, Chennai, India where he obtained his B.Tech and Masters Degree in Automotive Engineering. He got Management Training through Executive education program in Management from CEDEP, INSEAD in Fontainebleau in France and Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

He is Co-Chair of International Harmonization group in SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers).. He served as Chairman of SAEINDIA Southern Section during 2013-2015 and in the board of SAEINDIA. He was part of the core team to introduce Baja SAEINDIA, Off-Road Vehicle build competition student competition and involved in Formula SAEINDIA in 2012. He spearheaded organisation of FISITA Automotive World Congress in 2018 in India and Chairman of Steering Committee of ITEC – International Transport electrification conference, Dec 2023 organised by SAE and IEEE. He has made many publications in Finite Element Analysis, Vehicle safety, Accident Data Analysis, Vehicle Dynamics & Alternate Fuels.
